This work speaks to a sense of bodily discomfort from simply being a human. The feeling of wanting an escape from reality, as though existence itself is causing a form of claustrophobia. The body reaching out into the unknown.
Using cartoon logic, if a nose grows from lying to others, maybe nipples grow from lying to yourself. Sometimes we place ourselves in a cage and don’t even realize it.
